Salesforce Field Service Architect / Tech LeadAbout the job Salesforce Field Service Architect / Tech LeadABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Salesforce Field Service Architect or Tech Lead to design and lead the delivery of Salesforce Field Service implementations for businesses that send technicians and crews out to customer sites.
You will own the solution design, guide the delivery team, and work directly with client stakeholders to make sure the platform fits how field operations actually run day to day.This role is based in Australia, Sydney preferred.
The right candidate has been through full Field Service implementations before and can talk to both a dispatcher and a CIO.WHAT YOU'LL DODesign end to end Salesforce Field Service solutions, including work orders, service appointments, service territories, resources, skills, and scheduling policiesLead discovery and design workshops with operations, dispatch, and IT stakeholdersTranslate field operations requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutionsOwn the solution blueprint, data model, and security modelDesign the mobile experience, including offline capability for technicians working in low coverage areasTechnical LeadershipLead and mentor developers and consultants on the delivery teamRun code reviews and set design pattern standards across Apex, LWC, and FlowDefine the DevOps approach, including CI/CD, release management, and workplace strategyTune scheduling and optimisation so dispatch results match real world constraintsIntegration & DataArchitect integrations with ERP, asset management, inventory, billing, and mapping systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middlewarePlan data migration for customers, assets, locations, work history,
and service contractsSupport reporting and dashboards for operations and managementStakeholder ManagementAct as the technical lead with the client and the wider project teamPresent design options and trade-offs to senior stakeholdersWork closely with the project manager, business analysts, and testersSupport go-live, hypercare, and handover to the client support teamWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMust-Have8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience3+ years as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Tech LeadHands-on delivery of at least two full Salesforce Field Service implementationsStrong understanding of Service Cloud and how it connects to Field ServiceExperience leading technical teams on client-facing projectsBased in Australia with full working rights, Sydney preferredClear communication with both business and technical audiencesTechnical DepthSalesforce Field Service: scheduling, optimisation, service territories, work types, skills, and the Field Service mobile appApex, Lightning Web Components, and FlowIntegration architecture and API-led connectivitySecurity model design, including sharing rules and field-level securityData modelling and migration for assets, locations, and work ordersDevOps tooling and CI/CD practices (e.g. Copado, Gearset, SF CLI)Preferred CertificationsSalesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is highly valuedNICE TO HAVEExperience with MuleSoft or other enterprise middlewareExperience with asset-heavy industries such as Utilities, Telecommunications, or EnergyExperience with Agile delivery at scalePrior consulting or Salesforce partner experienceWHAT SETS YOU APARTYou have seen a Field Service project go live and know what breaks in the first monthYou can explain a design decision to a dispatcher and defend it to a CIOComfortable making a call when requirements are unclearPractical mindset with a focus on getting the solution live and working
