Our client is a family run custom homebuilderwith an established reputation for delivering quality residential homes across the South Coast.An opportunity has become available within the estimating team, and they are looking to speak with experienced Senior Estimators and Estimating Managerswho are interested in joining the business.For a Senior Estimator, there is the opportunity to step into a leadership role, while experienced Estimating Managers can step straight into the position and take ownership of the estimating function.About the RoleWorking closely with the Operations, Sales and Construction teams, you will play an important role in managing the estimating process across a range of residential projects.Key responsibilities will include:Preparing and reviewing detailed residential estimates and quotationsReviewing plans, specifications and project documentationCompleting and reviewing quantity take-offs and scope requirementsInterpreting soil reports, site contours, bushfire assessments, structural drawings and other relevant documentationReviewing subcontractor and supplier pricingPreparing and reviewing variationsMaintaining accurate pricing, product data and estimating informationIdentifying and resolving discrepancies through analysis and problem-solvingWorking closely with Operations,



Sales and Construction to ensure projects are accurately costedSupporting and mentoring other members of the estimating teamReviewing and improving estimating processes and systemsProducing reports and maintaining accurate project and pricing dataAbout YouWe're looking for someone with:Previous experience in residential estimating, ideally within a custom or project homebuilderStrong understanding of residential construction, pricing and building processesAbility to read and interpret residential construction drawings and documentationStrong experience with quantity take-offs, estimating and pricingStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsGood commercial awareness and problem-solving abilityStrong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teamsExperience managing or mentoring estimators would be advantageousA proactive, reliable and self-motivated approachExperience with estimating or construction management softwareThis is a excellent opportunity for someone who wants to step up into leadership, or for an existing Estimating Manager looking for a new challenge, with the opportunity to have genuine input into the estimating function and wider business.
