About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join Versatile Group.
In this role, you will lead day-to-day site activities, coordinate trades and labour, and support supervisors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone ready to take ownership on site and grow toward a Site Supervisor position within a fast-paced, growing construction business.
What You'll Be Doing
Coordinate daily site activities for workers and subcontractors
Support delivery of project timelines through effective workflow management
Assist supervisors with planning, scheduling, and task coordination
Allocate work based on priorities, skills, and site requirements
Carry out general construction labour tasks when required
Support site establishment, maintenance, and clean-up
Assist with managing multiple site activities where required
Provide clear daily updates to the Project Manager / Site Supervisor
Implement and maintain WHS systems and safe work practices
Maintain site documentation including site diaries, SWMS, and safety records
Ensure sites are clean, organised, and compliant at all times
What We're Looking For




2+ years' experience as a Leading Hand in the construction industry
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
Robust leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Solid understanding of WHS/OH&S; compliance requirements
Reliable, hardworking, and strong team-first attitude
White Card and relevant construction qualifications (desirable)
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to confidently use hand and power tools
