This is a dynamic, hands ‐ on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast ‐ paced environment and has a genuine passion for beverages and exceptional hospitality.Working closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will help drive the smooth and efficient operation of Langlands Restaurant & Bar.
You'll be a visible leader on the floor, elevating service standards, championing beverage excellence and coaching the team to confidently upsell and deliver memorable guest experiencesResponsibilitiesManaging daily food and beverage operations on the floor to ensure smooth, consistent guest experiencesLeading,
coaching and developing team members, with a strong focus on beverage knowledge and upselling techniquesUpholding high service standards and driving guest satisfactionManaging inventory, ordering and supplier relationshipsContributing to menu and beverage program developmentEnsuring compliance with health, safety and liquor regulationsHandling guest feedback and service recovery professionallyQualificationsAbout you:5+ years' hospitality experience with proven leadership, ideally in fine dining, luxury hotel or premium restaurant environmentsDeep knowledge and genuine passion for food, wine and beverage excellenceWSET Level 3 or CMS certification, plus a current Victorian RSAExcellent communication and guest ‐ service skillsAdvanced wine knowledge, including pairing and tasting, with the ability to train staff in beverage service and upsellingA genuine passion for beverages, wine and creating memorable guest experiencesHighly organised, solutions ‐ focused and effective under pressureStrong problem ‐ solving skills with experience using POS systems and reportingWhat we offer:The opportunity to lead a distinctive premium restaurant and bar in central MelbourneA visible leadership role with genuine influence over the venue's people, service and performanceThe opportunity to work alongside an experienced culinary and hospitality teamAccess to Hyatt's global career development opportunities and team member benefitsDiscounted accommodation and dining across participating Hyatt properties
