We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated and demanding environments, including remote mine sites throughout Far North Queensland.Due to significant growth across our Far North Queensland remote operations, we are looking for a Catering Utility / Cook to join our catering team at a newly established remote mining camp.The camp is currently catering for approximately 100 residents, with growth planned to approximately 180 residents within the next few months.Working with a well-established mining company, the successful candidate will work a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.




Onsite accommodation and meals are included.The PositionCatering Utility / Cook – 2&1 roster – Salary + superAssist the Chef and catering team with daily meal preparation and serviceUndertake basic food preparation and cooking dutiesAssist with breakfast, lunch and dinner serviceMaintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and food preparation areasWash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipmentAssist with dining room setup, clearing and cleaningReceive, store and rotate food supplies as requiredAssist with stock control and general kitchen dutiesWork across catering and village services as requiredThe PersonPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, hospitality or remote environment desirableCommercial cooking or food-handling experience advantageousUnderstanding of hygienic work practicesReliable, hardworking and physically fitStrong attention to cleanliness and presentationAbility to work effectively as part of a teamFlexible and willing to undertake a variety of dutiesThe BenefitsAs a team member with Bluebush, you will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes of an established facility services provider.2&1 rosterAccommodation and meals provided onsiteOpportunity to join a growing remote mining operationTraining and support providedVariety of catering and hospitality duties
