We are a busy and growing fruit and vegetable export company located within the Sydney Markets at Homebush West, looking for an experienced and reliable Quality Control & Warehouse Team Member to join our team.This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on quality assurance, produce inspections and maintaining high-quality standards throughout our receiving and warehouse operations.ABOUT THE ROLEYour primary responsibility will be to inspect incoming produce, ensure quality standards are maintained, and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure staff understand and follow our quality requirements.The role will include:Conducting quality assurance checks and inspections of fresh fruit and vegetablesAssessing produce quality, condition, presentation and suitability for exportWorking closely with warehouse staff to maintain consistent quality standardsEducating and guiding staff on acceptable produce quality and handling standardsReceivals and stock managementAssisting with forklift operations when requiredSupporting general warehouse operationsMaintaining a clean, organised and safe working environmentCompleting some physical and manual work as requiredWorking hours: Approximately 8-9 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday, with occasional longer days as required by operational demands.Sunday to ThursdayStart time: approximately 2:00am – 3:00amThis is a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment,



so the successful applicant must be comfortable working early mornings and working efficiently under time pressure.ABOUT YOUStrong knowledge and experience with fresh fruit and vegetablesPrevious experience in quality control, quality assurance, produce inspection or fresh produceA good understanding of fresh produce quality standardsExcellent attention to detailThe ability to identify quality issues quickly and accuratelyGood communication skills and the confidence to guide and educate other staffAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to work independently and take responsibility for quality decisionsCurrent LF Forklift Licence and forklift experienceCurrent Australian Driver LicenceAbility to undertake physical/manual workReliability and punctuality, particularly for early morning startsTHE RIGHT PERSONThe successful applicant will be someone who takes pride in quality and presentation, has a strong understanding of fresh produce and can confidently communicate quality expectations to the warehouse team.Experience within a fresh produce, wholesale, export, packing or distribution environment will be highly regarded.LOCATIONSydney Markets – Homebush West, NSWIf you have robust fresh produce knowledge, quality control experience and are looking for a hands-on role within a busy export operation, we would like to hear from you.
