We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team.
This role is ideal for a hands‐on qualified with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro‐mechanical systems.Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics,
and press fittings.Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large‐scale manufacturing environment.Qualifications & ExperiencesTrade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & TurnerFMCG Experience (highly regarded)Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenanceStrong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systemsConfident fault‐finding and diagnostic skillsAble to work independently and within a team environmentSafety‐focused with a commitment to qualityForklift license, boom lift (over 11m) and scissor lift tickets (highly regarded)Working at Heights certification (highly regarded)First Aid certificate (highly regarded)Basic Rigging ticket (highly regarded)Employee BenefitsCompetitive Salary Package on OfferLong term career potentialAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a tailored wellbeing initiative.
