Senior DevOps Engineers (EL1 Equivalent)12-Month Contract + 12-Month Extension | Hybrid WorkingWe are seeking 2 experienced Senior DevOps Engineers to join our Fed Gov Client, supporting the design, development and deployment of cloud and data infrastructure.These EL1-equivalent roles will provide technical leadership across complex initiatives, driving DevOps best practices, cloud modernisation and continuous delivery.Working closely with business stakeholders and a local full-stack development team, you will deliver scalable, secure and high-quality solutions within an Agile environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, deploy and support cloud and data infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.Manage and prioritise technical work queues to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and ensure adherence to integration best practices.Develop and maintain code across Python, JavaScript and Golang.Lead technical activities within Agile project teams, collaborating with developers and business stakeholders.Manage complex technical issues and provide expert advice, guidance and support to senior leadership.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.Essential Skills and ExperienceExtensive hands-on experience designing,



implementing and managing scalable AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.Strong experience establishing DevOps practices and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Artifactory and Jira.Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.Proficiency in Git and experience working within Agile development methodologies.Ability to develop and maintain moderately complex code using Python, JavaScript and Golang.Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerisation and cluster orchestration.Demonstrated technical leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.Desirable SkillsExperience administering both AWS and Azure environments, including multi-cloud infrastructure.Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and securing sensitive information.Experience designing AI-enabled CI/CD automation, including permission-controlled AI agents for automated testing, documentation and remediation.Contract DetailsPositions: 2Start Date: 2 November ****Contract Duration: 12 months, with a 12-month extension optionLocation: Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne or SydneyWorking Arrangements: HybridHours: Up to 37.5 hours per weekExperience Level: Senior – EL1 equivalentSecurity Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1)
