7R Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis in Gympie, QLD ****.
This is a hands‐on position that is critical to maintaining the safety, reliability and operational efficiency of our commercial vehicle fleet.
As a Truck Mechanic, you will play an essential role in ensuring our vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant with all regulatory requirements, directly supporting the success of our logistics operations.Key responsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and servicing on heavy commercial vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and lubricationDiagnose mechanical faults and malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledgeRepair and replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and electrical systemsMaintain accurate service records and documentation for all maintenance and repair work completedEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standardsLiaise with drivers and operational staff to understand vehicle issues and communicate repair timelinesPerform welding and fabrication work as required for vehicle repairs and modificationsMaintain a clean and organised workshop environmentWhat we're looking forA recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualificationMinimum 3 years' experience working as a mechanic,



preferably with heavy commercial vehicles or trucksStrong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems and suspensionProficiency with diagnostic equipment and mechanical toolsWorking knowledge of health and safety regulations and workplace safety proceduresExcellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a teamA valid Australian driver's licence is essentialPhysical fitness and ability to work in a hands‐on environment, including working at heights and in confined spacesPreferably, experience with fleet maintenance or working in a logistics environmentAbout us7R Logistics is a trusted provider of logistics and transportation solutions across Queensland.
