Mechanical Package Engineer / Senior Mechanical Package EngineerMincore is looking for two Mechanical Package Engineers to join our Melbourne team as we continue to grow our mining and mineral processing project workload.We are looking for candidates at two levels:Mechanical Package Engineer – 5–10 years' experienceSenior Mechanical Package Engineer – ***** years' experienceBoth are permanent, full time positions and we are looking for people who can start as soon as possible.The RoleYou will be responsible for mechanical equipment packages from specification through to procurement and vendor coordination.Your work will include:Managing equipment packages including pumps, feeders, conveyors, screens, cyclones, agitators and thickenersPreparing datasheets, material requisitions and scopes of work for RFQCompleting technical bid evaluations and preparing recommendations for awardReviewing and managing vendor data and documentationCoordinating vendor information with mechanical, piping, civil, structural and electrical teamsWorking directly with clients, vendors and subconsultantsCoordinating with our engineering teams in Melbourne and overseasFor the senior role,
leading packages independently and supporting junior engineersAbout YouWe are looking for Mechanical Engineers with solid experience in mining, mineral processing or similar heavy industrial projects.Ideally, you will have:A degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience working in an EPCM or engineering consultancy environmentExperience managing mechanical equipment packagesGood knowledge of specifications, RFQs, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentationMineral processing plant experienceExperience with slurry pumps and piping or bulk materials handling would be well regardedGold, CIL/leach or comminution experience would be an advantageGood communication skills and the ability to deal directly with clients and vendorsCPEng or working towards it is desirable for the senior roleAbout the OpportunityThese are permanent positions based in our Melbourne office, working across Mincore's Australian and international mining projects.You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work directly with our clients and vendors and take ownership of your packages.We are looking to fill both positions immediately, so candidates who are available now or at short notice are encouraged to apply.
