Harfords Surface Technologies is seeking experienced machinists to join our team in Canning Vale. You will perform a wide variety of machining operations utilising manual and CNC equipment in a precision engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform machining operations on Vertical Borer (Manual)
- Perform machining operations on Horizontal Borer (Manual)
- Perform machining operations on Milling Machines (Manual and CNC)
- Perform machining operations on Lathes (Manual and CNC)
- Read and understand technical engineering drawings
- Apply knowledge of speeds, feeds and tooling to achieve productive and accurate results over a variety of materials
- Review technical problems in detail
About you
- Recognised Trade Certificate in First Class Machining (Fitting and Turning)
- Prior experience with strong competency on conventional/manual lathes and borers
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Machining, First Class Machinist or similar mechanical field
- Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
- Good understanding of speeds, feeds and tooling
- Capability of reviewing technical problems in detail
- Ability to take on new skills and master them
- Honesty and integrity with a team approach
- CNC exposure beneficial
