3-Month Subcontractor Needed – Commercial Shed / Steel Repairs

Project: Commercial Hatchery Structural Repairs (Portal Frame Steel & Roof)

Duration: 3 Months (Immediate Start)

POSITION OVERVIEW

KIMR - King Island Marine Research Pty Ltd operates a lobster hatchery research and development operation.

We are seeking an experienced Steel Erector / Rigger / Commercial Trade Subcontractor for a 3-month structural repair and re-cladding project on King Island. Working alongside a supplied labour assistant.

STRUCTURE & SCOPE

- Building: 30m x 12m x 6m Portal Frame Structure
- All materials are purchased and already on-site.

· Construct/install western wall & roof sheeting, purlins, bolts, and insulation.
- Sandblast structural steel columns, weld new connection tabs, install vapor barrier,



and apply marine-grade protective coatings and other related tasks.

REMNUNERATION & PACKAGES

- Contract Rate: [$300-400/day depending on experience]
- 5 Days/Week (Weather dependent / Adaptable roster available)

- Accommodation: Free fully furnished 2-bedroom house.
- Transport: Vehicle provided for local use.

REQUIREMENTS & TICKETS:

- Relevant Trade Qualification & proven experience essential (minimum 5 years)
- Current Working at Heights & EWP/WP Ticket (Essential).
- ABN, Public Liability Insurance & Workers Comp cover.
