Midweight Creative Account Manager

If you’re a midweight Account Manager with a few years’ experience and you’re looking for a role that gives you more variety, more ownership and a chance to get closer to the creative work, this one is worth a look. You’ll be joining a small creative agency in Sydney CBD where there’s no big account management layer sitting between the client and the creative team.

You’ll be right in the middle of it.

Taking briefs, working out what the client actually needs, helping shape the creative response, working with designers and creatives, managing the project, presenting the work and seeing it all the way through to delivery.

And the work itself is far more interesting than your standard day-to-day account management role.

You could be working on a major B2B campaign one day, then helping bring an internal conference to life, working on case study videos, staff-to-camera content, social campaigns, go-to-market materials or brand and internal communications.

There’s plenty of variety, and because the team is small, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved rather than being boxed into one part of the process.

with Monday and Friday generally from home and Wednesday and Thursday in the Sydney CBD office

What will you be doing?

- You’ll be the person keeping the whole thing moving.
- You’ll manage client relationships, take and shape briefs, scope projects, manage timelines and budgets, coordinate designers and creatives, brief suppliers, present work and make sure everything gets delivered to a high standard.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved creatively.
- That might mean helping develop a campaign idea, putting together a presentation, creating a simple social asset, working on content or bringing your own ideas to the table.
- The expectation isn’t that you’re a designer. It’s that you’re interested in creative work and want to be part of the process.

What are they looking for?

- Has solid experience in account management, client services or a creative/design environment
- Is confident managing clients and building strong relationships
- Is highly organised and good at keeping multiple projects moving
- Understands how a creative process works
- Can take a brief and turn it into a clear plan
- Is comfortable working with designers, creatives and other specialists
- Can present confidently and communicate clearly
- Has a strong eye for creative work and enjoys contributing ideas
- Is proactive and comfortable taking responsibility
- Enjoys working in a small team where everyone gets involved

You don’t need to be overly senior. They’re looking for someone with good experience behind them who is ready for a new challenge and wants a role where they can have more ownership and get closer to the work. $75k–$80k + super | Sydney CBD
