Doolan Plumbing Pty Ltd is a well-established business in construction industry is looking for a full-time experienced accountant. The right candidate will be required to assist Managers and Director on all financial and management accounting matters of the business.

Duties and responsibilities

· Prepare and manage reports including variance analysis by using MS Excel and MYOB.

· Carry out and maintain all forms of consolidate financial reporting for the business

· Maintaining and updating fixed asset records.

· Processing monthly income from all current projects.

· Prepare monthly/yearly interim financial reports including year-end adjustments.

· Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheet, cash flow and profit and loss statements.

· Assist the management and director with short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.

· Monthly / Quarterly preparation and Lodgement of BAS & PAYG.

· Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options.

· With results of overall financial analysis in order to Develop and implement future budget, financial forecasts, monitor company's expenditure and profit s regularly, analyse cost effectiveness and make recommendations to Management.

· Control Credit and Chasing Debt.





· Prepare payments by verifying documents.

· Preparing and forecasting budget for materials and labour cost for all current and future projects.

· Review and assessment of governance procedures including making suggestions for improvement

· Improvement of processes to support greater efficiency and productivity within the organization

Core Competencies and capabilities

· Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in professional accounting.

· Skilled accounting accreditation (CA/CPA qualified).

· Excellent English Language skills are required.

· Must be able to handle pressures at peak time.

· Must be able to stay back for work occasionally whenever required.

· In addition to the degree and professional accounting accreditation, at least 1-2 years of Australian working experience in the role of the accountant is required.

· Strong Knowledge of ATO tax return and BAS is required.

· Experience in Fair work rules and regulations, Wages and payroll administration.

· Demonstrated competency in current Australian Accounting practices and standards.

· Strong personal competency in MS Office.
