Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Perth, WA. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities include preparing and lodging tax returns and BAS, supporting regulatory compliance, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The role involves working closely with clients to interpret financial data,



provide insights to improve business performance, and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner. The Accountant will collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes, enhance reporting quality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation expertise.
- Proficiency in taxation and compliance, such as income tax, GST/BAS, and familiarity with relevant Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and solid Excel skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to interpret financial data and provide transparent, actionable recommendations.
- Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain financial information in accessible, non-technical language.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA/CPA or progress toward professional certification is highly regarded.
- Prior experience in public practice or working with a varied portfolio of business clients is an advantage.
