About the role

We’re a local Canberra cleaning business looking for a reliable casual ad hoc cleaner to join our team.

This role is perfect for someone who already has a job and is looking to earn some extra money on the side without committing to a large number of hours each week.

We’re primarily looking for someone who can assist with around two residential cleans per week to begin with, with most work falling on Fridays. You’ll also act as a backup cleaner when additional cover is needed due to staff leave, sickness or increased bookings.

Hours will vary depending on bookings, so this role does not have guaranteed weekly hours. However, there may be opportunities to pick up additional work when available.

What you’ll be doing
- General residential cleaning, including bathrooms, kitchens, floors, dusting and wiping surfaces
- Occasional deeper cleaning tasks when scheduled
- Following client-specific checklists and quality standards
- Working independently and professionally in client homes
- Communicating clearly about arrivals, finishes and any issues
- Providing backup coverage when other team members are unavailable

What we’re looking for




- Strong Friday availability
- Must have your own reliable car and current driver licence
- Reliable and able to commit to agreed shifts
- Flexible enough to occasionally assist with ad hoc cover
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in client homes
- Domestic cleaning experience preferred, but not essential if you’re willing to learn
- Able to communicate clearly by text or phone

This position would suit someone who already has regular employment and wants a flexible side job for some extra income each week.
