Job: 1687882 | Full-Time | Fixed-Term (12 months) | Redfern, NSW | $95,481 (Fixed Pay) This is an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander identified position which is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

The Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) was established in a critical act of self-determination over 50 years ago as part of the Aboriginal rights protest movement. We provide high-quality, culturally secure legal and support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout NSW and the ACT, and fight for social justice and equity for our communities.

Your Impact:

As a valued member of the Criminal Law Practice, you’ll play a key role in leading day-to-day administration and operations, supporting a high-performing team and ensuring culturally safe, timely and professional services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. Each day, you will:

- Lead and coordinate daily administration, workflows, rosters and workload allocation to support smooth practice operations.
- Provide culturally safe, professional client support and assist with enquiries, referrals and timely service delivery.
- Supervise, train and support Administration Officers, including induction, leave management and probation reviews.
- Maintain accurate client records and coordinate file management, correspondence,



legal documentation and administrative processes.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, families, colleagues and external stakeholders, including legal and justice professionals.
- Support effective team collaboration, people management and continuous improvement while upholding ALS policies, confidentiality and professional standards.
