We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Administration Officer Operations to provide maternity leave coverage through to July 2027. In this diverse and rewarding role, you will play a key part in supporting the Infrastructure and Environment Department across a broad range of administrative, procurement and project support activities.

About the Role

Based at Freeling, a short 10 minute drive from Gawler, and reporting to the Manager Business Support I&E;, the Administration Officer Operations is the first point of contact for internal procurement, tendering and contract management enquiries, providing general guidance and support across Council whilst also providing administrative support to the Infrastructure and Environment department.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Being the first point of contact for enquiries regarding procurement and contract management

- Supporting contract administration and procurement processes, including tender documentation, contract registers and associated records management

- Providing administrative support for Infrastructure and Environment projects, including reporting, financial documentation and grant administration

- Monitoring documentation compliance for contract records, Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements

About You

With demonstrated experience in similar administrative support roles, you will support the Infrastructure and Workplace team by undertaking a variety of tasks including procurement,



contract administration, project coordination and customer service.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and proactive team member who can meet the inherent requirements of the role and demonstrates a commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of Light Regional Council.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Certificate in Procurement, Business Support and/or relevant experience (highly regarded)

- Experience with computer-based systems and databases, including Microsoft Word and Excel

- Strong organisational, numeracy and accuracy skills, ability to meet critical deadlines

- Experience in procurement, contract administration or project support (highly regarded)

- Understanding of Local Government Act and compliance requirements (desirable)

- Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic with a customer service focus

- Solutions-focused approach, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
