About the role The Administration Officer provides essential administrative support to frontline clinical staff within the Community Transition Care Program, helping to ensure the delivery of client-focused, high-quality and efficient healthcare services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team across the Extended Care service, the role supports patients, visitors and staff through a broad range of administrative and customer service functions.
The successful candidate will manage administrative processes, maintain accurate records and databases, coordinate communications, and utilise a range of healthcare information systems to support service delivery. The role requires strong organisational skills, adaptability, attention to detail and a commitment to providing professional, confidential and responsive support within a dynamic healthcare environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide high-quality administrative and frontline support to patients, visitors and healthcare staff across the Community Transition Care Program.
Deliver professional customer service through face-to-face interactions, telephony services and enquiry management.
Maintain accurate records, databases and document management systems while ensuring confidentiality requirements are met.
Utilise multiple healthcare information systems including HBCIS, ieMR,
Smart Referrals and Microsoft Office applications.
Manage competing priorities, work autonomously and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
