About Our Client Our client is a leading provider of industrial services, specialising in scaffolding, maintenance and shutdown support across the resources and mining sectors. They are seeking experienced Advanced Scaffolders to support an upcoming shutdown project at a major mining operation in Tom Price, Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Scaffolders seeking short-term casual shutdown work in the Pilbara. Successful applicants will join an experienced team responsible for delivering safe and productive scaffolding services while meeting strict site safety requirements and project deadlines.

What You Will Be Doing As an Advanced Scaffolder, you will support shutdown activities across the Tom Price operation. You will be responsible for the safe erection, modification, inspection and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with site safety procedures.

Duties Include

- Erecting, modifying and dismantling scaffolding structures in accordance with site requirements
- Inspecting scaffolding structures to ensure stability, compliance and safe access
- Supporting shutdown maintenance activities across the mining operation
- Following site-specific safety procedures and work instructions
- Working collaboratively with other trades and shutdown personnel
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards
- Complying with all client and project-specific requirements
- Completing all required inductions and compliance documentation before mobilisation
- Maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety throughout the shutdown

What You Will Need

- Current Advanced Scaffolding qualification appropriate to the role
- Valid Australian driver's licence or current photo identification




- Current Construction White Card
- Working at Heights training completed within the last three years
- Fire Training completed within the last four years
- Valid PHR Essential for Site and Lock Holder Aveling (Rio) completion certificate
- Ability to pass a Rio Tinto High G&I; pre-employment medical
- Valid laboratory drug and alcohol test completed within 28 days of the actual mobilisation date
- Ability to complete all required Rio Tinto online induction modules (unpaid)
- Ability to complete nine online induction modules for the employer (unpaid)
- Ability to meet all client and project-specific compliance requirements
- Availability for allocated project dates throughout October and November 2026
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Previous mining, industrial, maintenance or shutdown experience is highly regarded

What Is In It For You

- $63.80 per hour, including casual loading
- Two hours of travel time included in the rate (one hour each way)
- 15% nightshift uplift where applicable
- FIFO mobilisation from Perth
- Opportunity to work on a major mining shutdown project
- PPE kit supplied, including helmets, tools and other required equipment
- Short-term casual employment with an established industrial services provider
- Opportunity to gain further experience within the mining and resources sector
