We are a busy local workshop based in Mandurah looking for a reliable and capable Aluminium & or Stainless Steel TIG Welder / Fabricators to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on workshop role suited to someone who takes pride in their fabrication work, can produce clean welds and is comfortable working independently from drawings.
Key responsibilities
- MIG/TIG welding and fabrication of Aluminium or stainless steel components
- Reading and working from fabrication drawings
- Cutting, fitting and assembling components
- Grinding, finishing and polishing stainless products to a neat standard
- Setting up and operating your own welding equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Producing quality work without needing to be constantly supervised
About you
- Proven hands-on experience with Aluminium & or stainless steel MIG/TIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to set up your machine and produce clean, consistent welds
- Positive general fabrication skills
- Ability to read and work from drawings
- Good attention to detail and pride in your finished work
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the Monday–Thursday roster
- Full Australian working rights
- Willing to complete a short practical weld test as part of the interview process
