Your new role

As a Tax Accountant, you will provide expert taxation support during a key period of transition, helping to establish and strengthen internal tax processes, controls, and compliance frameworks. Working closely with the Financial Accounting team, you will provide practical tax advice, support tax reporting obligations, and drive improvements to existing processes. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing, establishing, and documenting taxation processes and procedures
- Leading the setup and management of FBT compliance obligations
- Supporting GST, BAS, and other tax compliance requirements
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes, and reduce compliance risk
- Assisting with tax reconciliations and ensuring compliance with relevant taxation legislation
- Providing practical taxation advice to internal stakeholders
- Supporting monthly and annual tax reporting requirements
- Facilitating knowledge transfer and capability development within the finance team




- Contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives and best-practice compliance frameworks

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience in a Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Specialist position
- Robust technical expertise in FBT, GST, BAS, and taxation compliance obligations
- Experience developing and documenting tax processes, procedures, and controls
- Ability to provide practical taxation advice to stakeholders across the business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a large, complex organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly establish credibility with stakeholders
- Previous public sector or large corporate tax experience will be highly regarded
