The Opportunity

Launch your career in heavy vehicle mechanics with Veolia at our Woodlawn site. Gain hands-on experience servicing, repairing and maintaining trucks, earthmoving equipment and heavy machinery while working alongside qualified tradespeople. Complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology in a supportive, safety-focused team environment.

What’s on offer

- A four-year apprenticeship with hands-on experience in heavy vehicle mechanics

- Practical training servicing trucks, earthmoving equipment and heavy vehicles

- Study towards a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology

What you’ll be responsible for

- Servicing, repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles, trucks and earthmoving equipment




- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and replacing worn components
- Assisting with engine, transmission and driveline repairs and rebuilds
- Conducting safety inspections and preventative maintenance in workshop and field environments
- Following safety procedures while learning under the guidance of qualified mechanics

What you’ll need to be successful

- Completed Year 10, or equivalent
- Genuine interest in heavy vehicle mechanics and a willingness to learn
- Practical approach, positive problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and environmental responsibility
- Australian driver’s licence, or willingness to obtain one, with flexibility to work outside regular hours when required
