Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Perth's northern suburbs. Operating within a technical and manufacturing-focused environment, this business has an international footprint and a strong reputation for innovation and quality. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function across accounting, payroll, reconciliations, month-end activities and compliance.
Your new role
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Managing customer statements, collections and payment runs
- Performing bank, credit card and foreign currency reconciliations
- Supporting payroll processing, superannuation and payroll compliance
- Assisting with month-end reporting including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting inventory-related calculations
- Assisting with BAS, GST, audit and other compliance requirements
- Providing general finance administration and support across the business
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
- Payroll exposure and knowledge of Australian compliance requirements
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally within a manufacturing, inventory or multi-currency environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
