We're seeking an experienced System Administrator to be based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne.
About the Role n
Primary focus of this role will be to provide Network / System Administration support.
n
You will be required to support shift hours up to 10pm Monday to Friday.
n
n
Supporting IT Infrastructure environments delivering Network support and configuration (60%) as well as Factory System management (40%)
n
Hardware and software installation, configuration of servers and workstations to support the architecture
n
Validates end-to-end system functionality through unit and integration testing.
n
Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems
n
Provides implementation, support and configuration of Network and Infrastructure equipment
n
Support the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems.
n
Administer user system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements.
n
Maintain key relationships with all stakeholders in IT and the business by providing face-to-face collaboration
n
Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning
n
Promote security awareness to mitigate security risks
n
Performs system monitoring and reporting using approved tools and processes to validate system health.
n
Participate in customer and IT Change Boards to understand business requirements and provide analysis to determine changes required
n
Collaborate with senior personnel in performing risk assessments on proposed changes to determine impact on customer business processes and systems downtime and proposes changes as needed
n
Implement system changes across large, complex and diverse server environments
n
Evaluates business impact against environmental conditions
n
The ability to undertake adhoc tasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties when required.
n
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) n
n
A minimum of 5 years Network management, in Cisco or Arista systems
n
A minimum of 2 years Microsoft Windows server
n
Systematic and logical problem-solving skills
n
High level of customer service and interpersonal communication skills
n
A demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise documentation
n
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements with the ability to obtain NV1 or higher
n
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) n
n
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
n
Factory systems support
n
Knowledge of Linux Server administration
n
Project coordination experience
n
ITIL certification
n
