About the role n
My client is looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join their team in Toowoomba. You'll support a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the region, working alongside site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to keep their people safe and projects compliant. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you'll make a real difference every day.
What you'll be doing n
n
Providing proactive health and safety support across construction projects throughout Toowoomba and surrounds
n
Travelling between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
n
Assisting project teams with risk assessments, SWMS, incident investigations and corrective actions
n
Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
n
Monitoring site safety performance and identifying opportunities to lift outcomes
n
Coaching and educating employees, subcontractors and stakeholders on safety best practice
n
Promoting a positive safety culture through clear, genuine engagement with site teams
n
Assisting with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
n
Maintaining accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
n




Building strong working relationships with site teams and stakeholders across multiple projects
n
What you'll bring n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related field
n
Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar role
n
A current driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly between project sites
n
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and best practice
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
n
The ability to work as part of a team and show initiative when working independently
n
Strong relationship‐building skills with all stakeholders
n
A down-to-earth, friendly and professional approach (a sense of humour helps!)
n
