Cali Press started with a simple idea: real, nourishing food and drinks that make people feel good. Today we're a growing family of 19+ cafés, backed by our own production kitchen, and we're bringing Cali Press to Melbourne in November for the very first time.

We're looking for an Assistant Manager to help open and lead. You’ll shape the site from day one: building the team, setting the standards, and creating the kind of place guests want to come back to.

We grow our own leaders

95% of our café managers were promoted from within Cali Press. Our first Melbourne café is the start of a new region, and we want the people who open it to lead it as we grow.

What you'll be doing

- Work alongside the Manager to run the café day to day
- Lead the team on the floor and make every guest experience a great one
- Help recruit, train and develop a brand-new crew
- Manage rosters, ordering and stock
- Keep a close eye on labour, waste and sales so the site performs from the start

What we're looking for

- 1+ years' experience as a supervisor or assistant manager in a busy café, restaurant or quick-service venue
- A people-first leader who coaches, motivates and leads by example
- Confidence with rosters, stock control and reading basic sales and cost reports
- High standards for food safety, presentation and guest service
- Calm,



organised and solutions-focused when things get busy
- Pre-opening or new-site experience is a big plus
- Full working rights in Australia
