Role Description The Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Chester Hill, NSW. The Assistant will support tutors and administration by helping prepare learning materials, organizing classrooms, and assisting with small-group activities. Daily responsibilities include greeting students and families, helping with student check-in and scheduling, maintaining a clean and safe learning environment, and supporting basic administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping.
The role also involves communicating with caregivers in a professional manner, helping coordinate sessions, and providing practical support to ensure smooth operations throughout the day. The Assistant works closely with the center’s team to uphold a positive, nurturing atmosphere for all learners.
Qualifications
- Ability to support classroom activities, including preparing materials, organizing learning spaces, and assisting with small-group tutoring sessions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with students, families, and team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic administrative and organizational skills, such as scheduling, record keeping, and handling simple data entry tasks.
- Demonstrated reliability, time management, and attention to detail in a busy, student-centered setting.
- Interest in education and child development; prior experience in tutoring, teaching support, or working with children is an advantage.
- Ability to follow center policies, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Comfort working on-site in Chester Hill, NSW, with flexibility to support afternoon and weekend sessions as needed.
