School of Education and Creative Arts The School of Education and Creative Arts plays a pivotal role in advancing this ambition through high-quality, accredited Initial Teacher Education and Creative Arts programs and research that responds to the needs of diverse communities. What you'll do

UniSQ is seeking a distinguished and collaborative academic leader to advance excellence in English and Literacy education through teaching, research and engagement.

In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and meaningful engagement across our Initial Teacher Education and Master of Education programs.

This is an outstanding opportunity to shape curriculum innovation, influence professional practice, and inspire future educators across diverse learning contexts, including regional, rural and remote settings. Through your leadership and scholarship,



you will contribute to locally grounded, globally relevant outcomes that advance educational excellence and support thriving communities.

As an Associate Professor / Professor (Curriculum and Pedagogy – English and Literacy) you will:

- Lead and deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching.
- Lead curriculum development, course coordination and program enhancement activities.
- Lead program accreditation activities.
- Undertake and lead impactful research that advances the discipline and delivers real-world impact.
- Build research collaborations and pursue external funding opportunities.
- Supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students.
- Develop strong partnerships with industry, government, professional bodies and the broader community.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to academic colleagues.

What will help you succeed To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

- It is essential that you hold a doctoral or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline.
- Recognised as a leader in Curriculum and Pedagogy - English and Literacy, with a record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in the discipline or field of education and evidence of an outstanding contribution to teaching, research and the profession.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering engaged and reflective approaches to teaching that produce the best possible outcomes for students, including evidence of high-quality tertiary teaching experience, leadership, and productivity, with an ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teaching teams.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and engaging in research that provides the opportunity to collaborate with others, seeks to attract funding to support research, advances knowledge, and engages with industry.
- Evidence of research strategy and research leadership, and a distinguished research track record, including high-quality publications, external funding or other relevant applied research outcomes is required.

Salary

Associate Professor: Total remuneration range $201,491 to $221,564 pa (includes salary range of $169,927 to $186,855 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)

Professor: Total remuneration $258,373 pa (includes salary of $217,899 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
