Renowned for its handcrafted breads, pastries, and premium baked goods, the bakehouse is committed to traditional baking techniques, high-quality ingredients, and consistent production standards.

The business is currently seeking experienced Bakers and Pastry Cooks for multiple full-time positions to support ongoing demand and production requirements. These roles offer a competitive salary range of AUD 75,000 to AUD 85,000 per annum plus superannuation, with remuneration negotiable based on skills and experience. Duties & Responsibilities:

- Mixing, preparing, weighing and measuring ingredients for the production of signature artisan breads, handcrafted pastries, and traditional baked goods.
- Preparing and baking Cedar Park Bakehouse’s daily range of handcrafted breads (white, wholegrain, and specialty loaves), hearty meat/vegetarian pies, and takeaway baked items.
- Decorating custom and ready-made cakes for special celebrations using different icings, sponges, toppings, and decorative finishes to ensure exceptional visual presentation.
- Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating celebration cakes with cream and icing according to customer specifications and high store standards.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and pie fillings, and make appropriate orders within budget for management.
- Contributing ideas to the menu & having involvement in seasonal pastry, custom cake, and catering menu development.
- Check the quality of materials and condition of equipment and devices used for commercial baking and cooking.
- Complying with food hygiene, food safety, and sanitization requirements.




- Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen, prep areas, and display cases.
- Ensure all food, raw ingredients, and prepared items are stored properly.
- Keeping accurate daily production, temperature, and inventory records.
- Operating a variety of commercial bakery equipment, ovens, and mixers safely and efficiently.
- Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train kitchen personnel.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work setting at all times.
- Plan & prepare the daily baking and production schedule to ensure fresh breads, pastries, and catering orders are ready for daily trade.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should:

- Open to moving if based interstate or in another city.
- Available on weekends and for split shifts.
- Preferably have a Certificate in baking or pastry.
- At least 2 years of experience as a professional baker.
- Be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
