Queenscliff General Store Cafe is looking for a Barista / All-Rounder to join our team.

We are a busy but relaxed local café serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, drinks and our own seasonal food. We are looking for someone who enjoys hospitality, works well as part of a team and is happy to get involved in all areas of the café.

This is a genuine Barista and all-rounder position — not just making coffee and taking orders.

About the role

You will be involved in:

- Making quality coffee and maintaining consistent coffee standards
- Taking customer orders and providing friendly service
- Running food and drinks
- Basic food preparation and assisting the kitchen when required
- Clearing tables and maintaining a clean dining area
- Washing dishes and general cleaning
- Restocking and keeping the café organised
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Supporting the team wherever needed during service

There will be periods when coffee is quieter. During these times, we expect team members to stay productive and help with other café duties rather than simply waiting for the next coffee order.

- Has previous barista and hospitality experience
- Can make good-quality coffee confidently and consistently




- Is a genuine team player
- Has a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Can work independently and see what needs to be done
- Is comfortable doing all areas of café work
- Has good customer service and communication skills
- Is willing to work weekends
- Enjoys working in a small team workplace

Hours The position will initially be approximately 17–28 hours per week, For the right person, there is potential for the role to develop into full-time hours if you demonstrate the skills, reliability, attitude and ability to take on more responsibility. Why Queenscliff?
