Bistro breton Bistro Breton is looking for an experienced Barista to join our French café and restaurant at 49 Queen Street, Busselton WA 6280. This is an ongoing full-time position with 38 ordinary hours per week.

Salary up to AUD $71500 per year plus superannuation depending on experience and qualifications. Applicable award entitlements will apply. You’ll take responsibility for the coffee station and support our table service and takeaway orders.

Responsibilities • Prepare espresso-based coffees and other hot and cold drinks.

- Adjust grinder settings and monitor coffee extraction throughout service.
- Steam dairy and alternative milks to a consistent standard.
- Manage coffee orders efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Clean and maintain the espresso machine, grinder and coffee station.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs.
- Welcome customers and take food and beverage orders.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process payments.
- Serve food and drinks and clear and reset tables.
- Communicate orders and dietary requests accurately with the kitchen.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.

Skills and experience • At least one year of relevant barista experience in a café or restaurant.

- Ability to operate a commercial espresso machine and grinder independently.




- Practical knowledge of espresso extraction and milk texturing.
- Robust customer service skills and clear communication in English.
- Ability to stay organised during busy service.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for mornings and rostered weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications A Certificate II or III in Hospitality or an equivalent relevant qualification is desirable. Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. Barista training and previous table service experience are highly regarded.
