BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE / VACATION CARE EDUCATOR The Lakes Early Learning Centre – Springfield Lakes

Are you passionate about working with school-age children and creating an amazing school-age care program?

The Lakes Early Learning Centre is a beautiful, family-owned centre in Springfield Lakes, and we are looking for a passionate Diploma-qualified Educator to help run our Before & After School Care and Vacation Care program.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm

During school term:

- 8:30am–9:00am: Support our school-age children and walk them to school, which is conveniently located just across the road.
- 9:00am–2:00pm: Work as a Float Educator across the centre, supporting educators and children wherever needed.
- 2:00pm–4:30pm: Run our school-age afternoon program.

During Vacation Care: Plan and deliver fun, engaging experiences based on children's interests, including excursions and activities. 10-Seat Bus: During Vacation Care, you will drive our centre's 10-seat bus approximately 2 days per week for excursions and planned experiences. An appropriate driver's licence is required which is a open auto licences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and deliver engaging Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
- Create experiences that reflect children's interests, ideas and voices.
- Maintain positive communication with children, families and team members.
- Create a friendly, secure and stimulating learning environment.
- Regularly evaluate programs and make improvements where needed.
- Maintain high health, safety and child protection standards.
- Support educators across the centre as a Float Educator.

ABOUT YOU We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Is enthusiastic, creative and engaging
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Loves working with school-age children
- Can plan and deliver fun, meaningful experiences
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive, flexible and professional attitude
- Can work Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
- Is confident driving a 10-seat bus during Vacation Care

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Valid Blue Card or willingness to obtain
- Valid National Child Safety Training or willingness to obtain
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certificates or willingness to obtain
- Appropriate driver's licence for the centre's 10-seat bus
- Availability Monday to Friday
