Sunshine Sugar’s Broadwater site has opportunities available for a Boilermaker to fill a permanent vacancy. The Broadwater site is in the Northern Rivers, only 20 minutes to Ballina.
Please note: Our Fitter & Boilermaker pay rates have changed and are now classified according to experience level, with pay rates between $41 - $46/hour (including allowances).

About the Role
As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, welding, maintenance, and repair work across a variety of plant and equipment, including:
- Conveyors and cane handling equipment
- Pressure vessels and piping systems
- Structural steelwork
- Process plant equipment
- Fabrication and installation projects
- Planned shutdown and breakdown maintenance
You will work closely with tradespeople, engineers, and operations personnel to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
We are looking for
- Trade qualifications as Boilermaker / Welder / Fabricator
- Heavy Industrial experience
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Competent in interpreting engineering drawings
- Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing
- Commitment and valuable attitude to safety and culture
- Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise
We can offer you
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 25% leave loading (on 4 weeks)
- 9 day fortnight in off season (January - June)
- Overtime available during crushing season (June - December)
- a RDO a month
