Rostered shifts will include appropriate time before and after breakfast service for preparation, set-up and closing duties. The role currently includes responsibility for independently preparing and cooking breakfast on Wednesdays, with kitchen and guest-service duties on other rostered days. The hotel also hosts occasional functions for wedding groups and other guests on its outdoor terrace, which may provide additional late-afternoon or evening shifts, typically around 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
- Appropriate food safety and food-handling training, together with a good understanding of safe food preparation and hygiene
- Good attention to detail, particularly when dealing with dietary and allergy requirements
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
- A professional and well-presented approach
- Reliability and punctuality
- Availability for early-morning shifts, including weekends
- Flexibility to undertake additional shifts when required
- A current NSW RSA, or willingness to obtain one, for occasional event work

Hours and future opportunities

This position would suit someone looking for regular morning hospitality work, with the opportunity to undertake additional shifts from time to time.

For the right person, there is scope for the position to develop into a more substantial role, including additional hours and greater responsibility for breakfast preparation, cooking and service as the Hotel's operational requirements evolve.

Employment and remuneration The position may be offered on a casual or permanent part-time basis, depending on the successful applicant's experience, availability and the agreed roster.

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020, with the applicable classification and rate determined having regard to the successful applicant's experience and duties performed. Applicable penalty rates and other Award entitlements will apply.

Location: The Albert Hotel, Mosman NSW

If you have experience in both breakfast service and cooking and are looking for a diverse hospitality role with predominantly morning hours and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility over time, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Please apply with your résumé and a brief outline of your relevant breakfast service and cooking experience, current Australian working rights and any applicable restrictions, and availability Monday to Sunday.
