About the Roles
Social, Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Social Worker
n
As part of our SEWB team, you will provide client-centered social work services that enhance the social, emotional and practical wellbeing of individuals and families. Your work will include:
n
n
Psychosocial assessments and case management
n
Advocacy and care coordination
n
Therapeutic interventions and counselling support
n
Supporting clients experiencing complex social issues
n
Working within a trauma-informed and culturally safe framework
n
Collaborating with internal and external service providers to achieve holistic outcomes
n
headspace Social Worker / Mental Health Clinician n
Working within the headspace Mount Isa multidisciplinary team, you will support young people aged ***** experiencing mental health, trauma, alcohol and other drug, and social and emotional wellbeing concerns. Responsibilities include:

Mental health screening and assessment
n
Therapeutic interventions and counselling




n
Care coordination and advocacy
n
Supporting young people and families using evidence-based approaches
n
Delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed care
n
Participating in clinical governance and multidisciplinary care planning
n
About You n
You will possess:
n
n
A Degree in Social Work or relevant qualification
n
Eligibility for, or membership with, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) highly regarded
n
Experience in case management, counselling, advocacy or mental health support
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
A commitment to culturally safe, person-centered practice
n
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
n
Current Driver Licence
n
Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
n
Satisfactory National Police Check
n
Desirable Experience n
n
Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
n
Community services, primary health care or social and emotional wellbeing programs
n
Youth mental health services, headspace, or related clinical environments
n
Trauma-informed practice and mental health intervention experience
n
