Front Office Supervisor

MainStay Suites Mackay is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Supervisor to lead our team and ensure seamless operations as well as looking after overnight management of the property.
n

With its prime location and unwavering commitment to excellence, MainStay Suites provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests.

Our 97-room apartment style hotel with an experienced team provides long-term accommodation options for corporate travellers, families, those re-locating and project work.
n
Your strong leadership skills and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth functioning of reception. You will play a key role being the face of the brand and leading a team dedicated to providing superior guest service.
n
You will be collaborative in your approach and interested in developing and up-skilling team members.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Supervise the front desk team and ensure effective and courteous service
n
Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, reservations, and guest enquiries
n
Train and mentor front desk staff to maintain high standards of professionalism and efficiency
n
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and resident satisfaction
n




Assist in managing room inventory, rates, and occupancy levels
n
Responsible for overnight management of the property, to assist guests when needed outside of business hours,
n
n
Key Requirements:
n
n
Proven experience in a front office or guest service role within the hospitality industry, preferably hotel accommodation
n
Proficiency in hotel management systems and reservation software
n
Strong leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving
n
Qualification in management or leadership highly desirable.
n
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
n
Dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences and fostering a positive team environment
n
n
This role may be required to work on weekends as per rostering and business needs. The position is paid hourly rates, penalties and loadings per the
Hospitality Industry General Award ****.
