Rooster Brothers Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team in Hurstville, NSW. This is a full-time position, where you will play a key role in preparing and processing poultry products to meet customer and food safety standards.
What you'll be doing
- Bone, trim, cut and prepare poultry products according to company standards and customer specifications
- Cutting caresses into portions
- Deboning poultry, prepare poultry products for retail sale
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and prolonged standing as required for butchery operations
- Operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect poultry products to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with customer service, packaging and labelling.
- Collaborate with the wider team to meet production targets and deadlines
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety and quality assurance protocols
What we're looking for
- Minimum two years' relevant experience as a Butcher or in a poultry or meat processing environment.
- Solid technical skills in poultry cutting, boning and trimming
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulation
