About the Role

Rapid Car Parts is looking for a motivated and reliable Vehicle Dismantler & Recycler to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for dismantling end-of-life and damaged vehicles, identifying reusable components, preparing parts for sale and assisting with the recycling process.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has a strong interest in cars, mechanical knowledge and enjoys working in an automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Remove engines, transmissions, electrical components, body panels, suspension, interior parts and other reusable components.
- Identify and assess parts for condition, quality and resale potential.
- Prepare, clean, label and store used vehicle parts.
- Assist with testing mechanical and electrical components where required.
- Remove and safely handle oils, fuels, coolants, batteries and other vehicle fluids.
- Separate recyclable materials including metals, plastics and other components.
- Follow correct environmental and waste-management procedures.
- Photograph and record parts for inventory and online sales.
- Assist the sales team with identifying and locating parts.
- Maintain an organised and safe dismantling area.
- Use workshop equipment, hoists and other machinery safely.
- Assist with moving vehicles and parts around the yard.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all company policies, workplace health and safety procedures and environmental requirements.
- Perform general yard duties as required.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in vehicle dismantling, mechanical work, automotive recycling or wrecking is highly desirable.




- Strong knowledge of vehicle components and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently.
- Good understanding of vehicle parts and their applications.
- Mechanical knowledge is highly regarded.
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
- Ability to safely work around vehicles, machinery and workshop equipment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Safety & Environmental Responsibilities The Vehicle Dismantler must:
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Safely handle tools, machinery and vehicle components.
- Correctly drain and manage vehicle fluids.
- Follow procedures for handling batteries, oils, fuels and hazardous materials.
- Report hazards, injuries, incidents or damaged equipment to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow environmental and recycling procedures when dismantling vehicles.
