As a Casual Cleaner, you will support the delivery of a clean, safe and welcoming workplace for residents, visitors and staff in an aged care setting. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a supportive team within an aged care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general cleaning duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention
- Safe use of cleaning products and equipment
- Following cleaning schedules, policies and procedures
- Restocking cleaning and hygiene supplies as required
- Reporting maintenance, safety or infection control concerns
- Working collaboratively with care, hospitality and other team members
- Supporting additional shifts when required
About you
- Reliable, punctual and flexible
- Excellent attention to detail
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Understands the importance of dignity, privacy and respect when working around residents
- Available to work across a range of shifts, including weekends where required
- Previous cleaning experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality is desirable
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable
- Evidence of working rights in Australia
