About the Role

At The Gibraltar Bowral Hotel, we believe great hospitality starts with great people. We are looking for a Casual Guest Services Agent who genuinely enjoys people, takes pride in creating memorable experiences and understands that the little things can make a big difference to a guest's stay.

This is a role for someone who naturally makes people feel welcome. Someone who enjoys having a conversation with a guest, is happy to lend a hand and gets genuine satisfaction from helping people have a great experience.

Working as part of our Front Office team, you will be one of the friendly faces our guests interact with throughout their stay. From welcoming guests on arrival to helping with enquiries and ensuring they have everything they need, you will play an important role in creating the warm and personal experience The Gibraltar is known for.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
- Assist with guest arrivals, departures and general Front Office duties.
- Provide friendly and helpful service throughout the guest's stay.
- Respond to guest enquiries and requests in a professional and personable manner.
- Assist guests with information about the hotel, Bowral and the Southern Highlands.
- Help ensure guest areas and the Reception environment are welcoming and well presented.
- Assist with luggage and other guest requests when required.
- Communicate with Housekeeping and other hotel departments to help ensure guest needs are met.




- Handle guest concerns professionally and seek assistance from senior team members when required.
- Assist with reservations, payments and other basic Front Office administration.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and professionalism at all times.
- Be willing to help wherever needed to ensure our guests have a great experience.

About You

We are looking for a personality, not just a résumé. You may have previous hotel or Front Office experience, or you may be someone with hospitality, retail, customer service or other people-focused experience who is looking to develop your career in hotels.

- Have a flexible approach and be happy to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Previous hotel or Front Office experience is an advantage, but personality, attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality are more key to us.
