About the role

Flavours Catering + Events is looking for a talented Catering & Events Sales Manager / Event Manager / Senior Event Manager to join our growing team.

This is primarily an office-based sales, client management and event planning role rather than an on-site event operations role. You'll work with a mix of new enquiries, repeat clients and key accounts, helping clients bring their events to life.

Your role is to understand exactly what the client is trying to achieve, ask the right questions, recommend the right solution, prepare a compelling proposal and ultimately win the business.

Once confirmed, you'll continue managing the client and event through the planning process, working closely with our Culinary, Operations and Logistics teams to ensure every detail is ready for successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

Sales and Client Management

- Respond to new catering and event enquiries quickly and professionally
- Communicate confidently with clients by phone and email
- Understand each client's event, priorities, budget and requirements
- Build robust relationships with new clients, regular clients and key accounts
- Recommend menus, beverages, staffing, equipment and event solutions
- Prepare detailed and compelling catering and event proposals
- Follow up proposals proactively and confidently
- Convert enquiries into confirmed events
- Identify appropriate opportunities to increase event value through additional services and upgrades
- Maintain relationships that encourage repeat business

Event Planning and Coordination

- Finalising menus and event details
- Preparing detailed event run sheets
- Managing guest numbers and dietary requirements




- Confirming staffing, beverages, equipment and service requirements
- Coordinating timings, access and venue information
- Liaising with our Culinary team regarding menus and dietary requirements
- Working closely with Operations and Logistics
- Ensuring all event information is accurate and clearly communicated
- Conducting final event checks before operational handover
- Following up with clients after events and developing opportunities for future business

About you

- Experience in catering, events, venues, hotels, hospitality or event sales
- Strong sales ability and a genuine drive to win business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients by both phone and email
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to manage a high volume of enquiries and events
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
- An understanding of menus, dietary requirements and event logistics would be highly regarded
