Back of House Hooligan (Production Kitchen Team Member)

Greenstreat is hiring experienced Back of House team members for part-time and casual positions at our Fitzroy Central Kitchen. This is a high-volume production kitchen role focused on bulk food preparation, processing, cooking, packing and dispatch for our stores, rather than a traditional restaurant service kitchen.

Kitchen Operating Hours

Our kitchen operates from approximately 6:15am to 5:00pm, depending on production requirements. Team members may be rostered across different shifts within these operating hours, so flexibility with both early morning and later finishing shifts is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation, cooking and large-scale production of fresh ingredients and menu items in accordance with recipes, production standards and operational procedures.
- Prepare, process, portion and pack ingredients and products for distribution to stores.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by cleaning workstations, equipment and utensils.
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation using FIFO, and organisation of cold storage and dry stores.
- Assist with labelling, packing and preparation of products for dispatch.
- Manage kitchen waste and recycling,



including emptying and sanitising bins as required.
- Complete essential opening and closing duties, including cleaning floors, degreasing surfaces and preparing work areas for the next shift.
- Support the wider production team as required and maintain a positive, reliable attitude.

About You

- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food production environment.
- Positive, hardworking and reliable team player.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, repetitive production setting.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and efficient under pressure.
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work across different shift times within our kitchen operating hours.
- Availability to start from 6:15am when required.
- Availability across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
- Availability for at least 4 shifts per week is highly regarded.

Pay: $27.81 – $34.76 per hour
