We are looking for an experienced, highly efficient Chef de Partie to take full ownership of our busy BBQ, Steamer, and Soup/Noodle assembly section in a well-known Chinese/Malaysian restaurant. There is no wok cooking required in this role. Instead, this position is all about speed, solid knife skills, exact portion control, and meticulous prep. You will be self-managing your station to keep up with high-volume service.
Key responsibilities
- Run and maintain the BBQ chopping station, steamer baskets, and soup/noodle assembly lines efficiently during service
- Heavy slicing, chopping, and precision knife work for meats, garnishes, and prep components
- Folding and preparing pastries, dumplings, and dim sum items
- Manage daily prep lists, monitor stock levels, and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards on your station
