About the role

Fasta Pasta Elizabeth is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to contribute to a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

- Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

- Manage food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.

- Minimise food wastage through effective stock rotation and inventory management practices.

- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.

- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.





- Coordinate kitchen rostering and allocate staff to meet operational requirements.

- Work closely with management to achieve budget, cost control, and business objectives.

About you

- Certificate in Cookery OR Diploma of Hospitality Management

- At least one (1) year of full time experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

- Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.

- Sound understanding of stock control and cost management principles.

- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts as required.
