Position: Chef

- Permanent full time position
- 38 hours per week
- $80,000 per year + superannuation
- Eastern Suburb, close to the bus station

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Japanese cuisine, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment. You will play an important role in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent food, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities include

- Preparing and cooking dishes according to our menu and recipes
- Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are followed
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations and preparation
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Contributing to a positive and professional team workplace

The successful candidate will have:




- At least 1 year of full-time experience working as a Chef, preferably specialising in Japanese or Asian cuisine
- A relevant commercial cookery qualification, such as Certificate IV or higher, or an equivalent overseas qualification
- Proven experience working in a busy commercial kitchen
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards
- The ability to remain organised and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts
