Malcolm Civil is seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our growing team across South East Queensland. Working closely with the Civil Supervisor and Project Manager, you'll be a hands-on leader responsible for coordinating crews, keeping works on program and ensuring the job is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate site crews and subcontractors
- Allocate daily tasks and keep works progressing to program
- Coordinate plant, materials and site deliveries
- Ensure work is completed safely and to plans and specifications
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and daily site checks
- Lead by example and maintain a strong safety culture
- Monitor productivity, quality and site progress
- Identify and communicate issues, delays and resource requirements
- Work closely with Supervisors, Project Managers and other site personnel
- Maintain a clean, organised and productive worksite
About you
- Proven experience as a Civil Leading Hand
- Strong hands-on civil construction experience
- Confident leading crews and coordinating daily activities
- Good understanding of civil construction methods and site requirements
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity
- Ability to read and follow plans and specifications
- Reliable, proactive and willing to get hands-on
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current Australian driver's licence
