Full time, Permanent12h ago , from Muswellbrook Shire CouncilThe Works Supervisor (Natural Areas) leads a works team in the professional, diligent performance of duties associated with the construction, maintenance and repair of Council's parks and gardens to a best practice standard, and assists the Works Coordinator to coordinate resources in a proactive, cost effective and productive manner.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, lead and support works staff to ensure timely completion of daily and monthly programs, whilst overseeing the completion and submission of staff timesheetsProvide on-call support, coordinating staff, plant and materials in emergency situationsEnsure WHS procedures, inductions, and risk assessments are followed and documentedReport incidents and assist with investigations and safety improvementsAssist with quality and environmental processes, including required documentationAssist with preparing quotations, including calculating material and resource needsAbout youCertificate IV in Local Government Operational Works (or working towards) with relevant workplace experience.Previous work experience in the implementation and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method Statements for road maintenance and construction activities.Ability to accurately read and interpret civil engineering drawings.White CardCurrent class C Driver Licence.
