We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong NDIS, mental health and SIL operational experience to join our clinical team and support participants and services across multiple locations.

This role is suited to someone who has worked directly in SIL, understands what it takes to manage a SIL house, and is confident supporting new participant onboarding, service commencement and ongoing clinical practice across complex disability services.

You will work closely with our National Clinical Lead RN, Team Leaders, support workers and participant stakeholders to ensure clinical care is safe, practical, participant-centred and followed through.

A key part of the role will be supporting new participant and new SIL house onboarding, including reviewing participant needs, assessing clinical risks, identifying staffing and competency requirements, supporting transition planning and ensuring the service is clinically ready before commencement.

Key responsibilities

- Provide clinical support across SIL and complex-support services nationally.
- Manage an allocated portfolio of participants and service locations.
- Maintain regular contact withTeam Leaders and frontline teams.
- Conduct remote clinical reviews, case discussions and follow-up where appropriate.
- Travel interstate when participant complexity, service commencement or clinical risk requires onsite involvement.
- Conduct participant and house visits based on clinical risk and service need.
- Support participants with complex physical health, mental health and psychosocial needs.
- Provide clinical input into behaviours of concern and work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners.
- Review significant GP, hospital, specialist and allied-health outcomes and ensure actions are completed.
- Support safe medication management, medication charts, signing processes and medication-change implementation.
- Support House RNs and Team Leaders with participant-specific clinical matters.
- Review incidents and ensure participant-specific clinical actions are followed through.




- Support the development and review of clinical care plans and participant-specific risk assessments.
- Identify participant-specific staff training and competency requirements.
- Coach frontline teams and support competency assessment.
- Support clinical audits, service readiness and continuous improvement.

You will be expected to:

- Review referrals and available participant information.
- Participate in pre-admission and transition discussions.
- Review health, medication, mental health, behavioural and clinical-support needs.
- Identify risks that may affect whether the service can safely support the participant.
- Review Behaviour Support Plans, restrictive-practice requirements and relevant clinical documentation.
- Identify required equipment, medication arrangements and clinical supports.
- Determine staff clinical training and competency requirements before commencement.
- Work with recruitment and rostering teams to ensure workers selected for the participant are appropriately skilled and suitable.
- Contribute to transition planning with participants, families, Support Coordinators and external providers.
- Visit new services or participants where onsite clinical assessment is required.
- Support hospital-to-SIL, provider-to-provider and home-to-SIL transitions.
- Ensure required clinical plans, medication information and escalation pathways are in place before go-live.
- Participate in service readiness and go-live reviews.
- Provide increased clinical oversight during the early transition period.
- Review how the placement is progressing and identify any adjustments required after commencement.

About you

You will ideally have

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong NDIS and disability-sector experience.
- Previous SIL house management, SIL coordination or senior operational experience.
- Experience onboarding new SIL participants and supporting service commencement.
- Mental health nursing and/or psychosocial disability experience.
- Experience with complex health and behavioural needs.
- Strong medication-management knowledge.
- Experience with Behaviour Support Plans and behaviours of concern.
- Knowledge of restrictive practices and NDIS requirements.
- Strong clinical assessment and risk-management skills.
- Experience liaising with GPs, hospitals, specialists, pharmacies and allied-health professionals.
- Robust clinical documentation skills.
- Confidence coaching frontline workers and supporting House RNs/TLs.
- Ability to manage multiple services remotely.
- Ability to independently drive actions through to completion.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate, including overnight travel.
