About the Prospect Henderson Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced Clinical Psychologists on behalf of an established organisation delivering specialist psychological services to adults in Hobart, TAS.

This is an opportunity to join a purpose-driven clinical team providing high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming psychological assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic support to Autistic and neurodivergent adults.

The role would suit an experienced Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about working within a strengths-based, person-centred framework and is looking to join an organisation committed to improving outcomes for Autistic people, their families and carers.

Flexible working arrangements are available, with opportunities to work remotely and/or from established office locations, depending on location and operational requirements. This will roughly be a 60/40 split.

The Role As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide high-quality psychological assessment and therapeutic services to adults, with a particular focus on autism assessment, diagnosis and neuroaffirming psychological support.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary services team and collaborate with clients, families, carers and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care.

The role is clinical-focused with no line management responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality psychological services and developing your clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive, neuroaffirming autism assessments and diagnostic assessments for adults using appropriate best-practice assessment tools.
- Complete intake, clinical assessment and case conceptualisation using a strengths-based and person-centred approach.




- Provide individual psychological assessment and therapeutic support to Autistic and neurodivergent adults.
- Support clients experiencing a range of presentations, including co-occurring ADHD, autistic burnout, masking, identity and adjustment-related challenges.
- Deliver services through face-to-face consultations and/or telehealth.
- Collaborate with treating practitioners, allied health professionals, families and carers where appropriate.
- Develop clear, accurate and clinically appropriate assessment and psychological reports.
- Maintain high-quality clinical records in accordance with professional, legislative and Medicare requirements.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and psychologically safe clinical environment.
- Participate in professional development, clinical supervision and ongoing service improvement.

About You We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practice and providing high-quality services to adults.

You will ideally bring

- Current AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Current Medicare provider registration.
- Experience delivering psychological assessment and/or therapy to adults.
- Experience working with Autistic and/or neurodivergent clients.
- Experience with autism assessment and diagnosis is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based practice.
- An ability to adapt communication and clinical approaches to individual sensory, communication and processing needs.
- Solid clinical assessment, formulation and report-writing skills.




- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine commitment to providing person-centred, inclusive and evidence-informed psychological care.
